Tessa van der Riet (Amsterdam, 1996) is a (documentary) director and photographer currently based in Barcelona.

Within her work she focusses on identity and social structure, exploring the boundaries of ethnic and cultural stratification. She aims to connect people while maintaining aesthetics, and is drawn to issues around girls' and women's emancipation.
